Arsenal have been handed a transfer blow, as LaLiga giants, Barcelona have joined the race for one of their midfield targets, Steven N’Zonzi.
Gunners boss, Unai Emery, is looking to strengthen his midfield options despite the arrival of Lucas Torreira and N’Zonzi is believed to be top of his wish list.
According to Mundo Deportivo, the 29-year-old could still leave the club this summer, with the Gunners heavily linked.
However, Arsenal have now been joined by Barca in the race to sign the Frenchman, with Ernesto Valverde identifying him as an alternative to PSG’s Adrien Rabiot.
Roma are also reported to be among the other clubs interested in N’Zonzi, who is believed to have a €40million release clause.
